TMC School of Information Technology - The place to LEARN

TMC Computer School was established in 1981. It was renamed to TMC Academy - School of Information Technology in 2005. The school has grown from offering one computer diploma in 1984 to the current suite of Diplomas, Higher Diplomas, Degrees to Masters as well as corporate and skill-based IT training. The school currently offers courses in areas such as computing, programming, networking, web development, animation and games design which are in demand in the infocomm industry.

The School of IT has a strong team of full-time lecturers as well as a pool of part-time lecturers who are professionals in the IT industry. The team of lecturers is knowledgeable, dedicated, professional and responsible. They are committed to providing the best education for the students. The team of academia provides a varied method of delivery to maximise the learning outcome of the students. The students learn through lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, discussion, group work and more. Constantly we organise seminars or talks by industry practitioners or speakers from overseas universities as well as field trips. The students also have opportunity to join the IT Club which is part of the TMC Student Club. In the IT Club, they organise and participate in IT related events. Through these, they gain leadership, management and organisational skills which cannot be learnt through traditional classroom teaching.

The students are always encouraged and motivated throughout their studies. Counseling sessions are provided to help students to cope with their studies. Top student awards and merit awards are also given to students who have performed well in their studies. Many students have worked hard towards receiving these awards. We believe that consistent work by the students together with guidance and encouragement by the lecturers are important keys to success.

At School of IT, we are committed to supporting and helping the students throughout their learning journey with us. Students from varied social and ethnic backgrounds study and play harmoniously. They are all part of the big TMC family.

Our Lecturers - Masters of WISDOM

TMC School of IT has one of the largest number of full-time faculties among the private education organizations in Singapore. Most of the lecturers hold a Master degree with years of teaching and industry experience. All the lecturers are registered with the Council for Private Education (CPE) and they are also approved by the respective university partners prior to the teaching of the undergraduate or postgraduate programmes.

The team of lecturers is dedicated and approachable. Students are always welcomed to consult them face-to-face or via electronic means such as emails.
