The University of Hertfordshire University has continued to
gain recognition for the quality of its services, student
support, research and programmes. In 2008, the University
was short listed for the Times Higher Education ‘University
of the Year Award’. In the 2008 UK Research
Assessment Exercise, all 14 departments submitted for the
assessment were recognised for international excellence, proving
that the University of Hertfordshire continues to produce
innovative, enterprising, high quality research.

The Business School has been delivering innovative degree
courses for almost a quarter of a century and is now the University’s
largest school. On campus, there are around 3,200 students
taking undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses, with
about a third of them are from overseas. In addition, the
Business School has a further 2,500 students studying University
of Hertfordshire Business School courses abroad with collaborative
partners in Canada, China, Germany, Greece, Hungary and Malaysia
and Singapore.
The Business School is home to a vibrant research community
with a range of specialist research centres, which are rated
amongst the best new university business schools in the UK
government’s most recent evaluation of research quality.
It provides a Research-led curricula, with a strong focus
on entrepreneurship and employability, which give students
a head start in competitive national and international job
markets.
