The
University of Wolverhampton is one of the largest and most
innovative universities in the UK. Wolverhampton has over
23,000 full-time and part-time students, including more than
2,500 international students, studying over 300 different
degree and postgraduate subjects.
The University places great emphasis on quality as well as
choice and flexibility in its programmes. The extensive range
of subject combinations is designed to help prepare Wolverhampton
graduates for the working world.
Wolverhamption was the first British university to be awarded
the Government’s Charter Mark for excellence in the
level of service provision. In official subject inspections
over the recent years, the University has maintained an average
grade of 20 out of a maximum of 24.
Since gaining its university status in 1992, the University
of Wolverhampton has continued to grow, opening up a multi-million
pound campus at Telford in 1994 and the Wolverhampton Science
Park in partnership with Wolverhampton Council in 1996. Major
redevelopment of the main City Campus has seen the opening
of a £26 million building extension – the Learning
Centre and a multimillion pound Technology Centre.
