 APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

(Processing Time by ICA : Approximately 14 working days)


1) Course Application

Complete TMC Application Forms.
Application fee payable to TMC Educational Group Pte Ltd.

2) Documents Checklist for Applicant and Payment Instructions:

(can be emailed across first; to arrange for student to bring the original hardcopies across eventually when he reports for school)

1) TMC Application Form – Inclusive of ICA Forms) –2) Birth Certificate (translated & notorised)
3) Family / Household Card (if applicable, eg Indonesia, Korea)
4) Highest qualification certificate & transcipt – secondary and above (tranlated & notorised)
5) Photocopy of passport
6) passport-size photograph (digital or colour-scanned – high res, 400x514)
7) Financial statement (for China, Myanmar and other visa required countries only)
8) Payment Transfer Form (if student making payment via TT or Internet Banking)
9) Student Acceptance Form ( once student accepts offer )

Note: If student has been working since the last academic graduation, student needs to provide proof of letter for the period of working. (either a letter by the company, or a letter from student signed by student)

If student has been doing short courses since the last academic graduation, student needs to provide proof either by way of the certificates obtained or letters by the school or letter from student signed by student.

NOTE: It takes around 3-4 weeks for initial student visa processing. Any rejection will incur a min 4-weeks compulsory waiting time for the appeal.

C) Submission :

All the forms and documents completed and prepared in Step 1 & 2 are to be submitted to TMC in Singapore.

3) Accommodation and Pickup Arrangements

As a One-Stop Service Provider, TMC provides complimentary Airport Pickup service for students and also assists to look for accommodation if required.

 Processing of Student Pass Application

A letter of offer will be issued within 1 week upon receipt of all completed documents and registration fees (application fee and Int'l Student administrative fee).
Student will accept the offer by signing the letter of acceptance.
International students are required to sign the Standard Student Contract and are case trusted under the Student Protection Scheme (SPS) through Insurance or Escrow Scheme.
All the documents will be vetted and sent together to Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
The processing time is about 14 working days upon application by ICA. In some cases, ICA may require longer processing time depending on the case of each application.
The school will be notified of the outcome by post.
 Notification of Approval/ Rejection


Upon the approval of the student pass, the school will process exit visa (S$30) through ICA and mail it to students - for visa required countries.
Students are required to settle all the fee payment to TMC by cash.
Students are required to inform the school upon confirmation of their arrival dates to Singapore, if they need airport reception.

 

 Transfer of school


Upon notification of transfer of school:

- the student will be counseled to ensure that the next course he/she is pursuing is to their interest and preferably of higher learning or professional in nature.

- Student's feedback will also be gathered on his/her study in TMC as a means to continually improve our program and services.

- Student's attendance will be given in the ICA forms to facilitate student pass transfer.

- The following documents will be submitted before the expiry of the validity of the original student pass to ICA:

Letter of cancellation from TMC
Original student pass
Passport


 General Rules and Regulation


Students are required to undertake a medical check up (cost between S$50 - S$120) upon arriving in Singapore
Students are required to make payments to ICA for the issuance of student pass once the medical report is submitted to ICA
Student Pass Holders are strictly forbidden to work in any form of employment, whether paid or unpaid.
Prior to departure from Singapore, students are required to cancel their Student Pass with ICA within 7 days of the date of cessation or termination of studies.
Upon cancellation, students will be issued a social visa for 1 month to prepare for their return trip to home.
