The flexibility of the Deakin
MBA gives you the capacity to balance competing priorities
and to contend with the unpredictable demands in your
work and family life. By varying the number of units
taking in any semester and using the flexibility of
electronic conferencing to manage your time on a day
to day basis, you can adapt your pace of study according
to your particular circumstances.
Case based approach
The Deakin MBA seeks to integrate
work and study through a case based approach and through
applied projects that deal with real business management
issues - wherever possible in the context of your
own work environment.
On-campus and off-campus - supported
by electronic teaching and conferencing
In 1981 Deakin University pioneered
off-campus in Melbourne and off-campus. Both modes
of study incorporate Deakin's "flexible learning"
model, using electronic conferencing, group based
project work and interaction, high quality course
materials and intensive residential schools.
The option of a specialist MBA
It is also possible to undertake
a specialist sequence within the Deakin MBA in order
to develop a specific technical or specialist expertise,
which may be relevant to your particular circumstances
or interests.
International
An international perspective is
integral to the Deakin MBA program - not just an optional
specialization in International Business. As such,
the program offers many study units that are directly
relevant to students from other countries as well
as important general business topics.
AISAM - Asian International School
of Advanced Management
Students may include in the Deakin
MBA the intensive two-week AISAM residential unit
offered in Asia each year by the Consortium of Australian
