 Programme Structure


The BSc (Hons) Internet Computing Systems from the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, which has a strong reputation for research, and has a long-standing history of working with local, regional and national industries, is a 120 credit programme designed to be available to students from TMC who have achieved a pass in the Higher Diploma in Information Technology or have an equivalent Polytechnic Diploma. This will be delivered through a summer semester. Attendance is to be full time at Liverpool John Moores University for a period of 14 weeks, including assessments. Prior to this students will attend lectures and workshops (14 weeks) at TMC Singapore on a full or part-time basis.

Students are required to complete 9 modules.

Block 1 (February– May) at TMC Singapore, students complete 4 modules (60 credits):

Multimedia Development Workshop
Management of E-Commerce
Fundamentals of XML Technologies
Project

Block 2 (June – September) at LJMU Summer School, students complete 5 modules (60 credits):

Business Systems Methodologies
Contemporary Issues in IT
Network Security
Object Databases
User Interface Design
Web Based Information Systems Workshop

• Developing a reflective approach to your personal and professional development.


 Assessment


Our assessment is planned to encourage you to develop useful skills as well as to measure achievement; in a way it is part of the teaching – you acquire skills from the methods of assessment. There are varied coursework assessments such as examinations and/or coursework or project.
